Scottish Policy Forum

The Scottish Policy Forum (SPF) is a member-led initiative, stemming from the time of devolved government in Scotland, has a central purpose to represent CIHT members in Scotland in an appropriate way and convey professional advice and opinion to elected bodies and society at large in a way that is relevant to the specific geography, characteristics and governance of the transport network in Scotland.

The SPF was rejuvenated in 2014 as part of CIHT Scotland and sits under the auspices of the CIHT Learned Society & Technical Board (LSTSB).  It is supported by CIHT Britannia Walk Officers, WRA and UKRLG. It seeks to meet and influence key figures in government as appropriate. Currently the SPF is pleased to be contributing to the review of the National Transport Strategy (NTS2).

The forum continues to expand with additional resource and specialist expertise but new contributors are always welcome. Contact the Chair, Keri Stewart, at keri.stewart@arcadis.com.
