Welcome to CIHT Republic of Ireland.

CIHT launched the Republic of Ireland branch in March 2006 at the University College, Dublin. The launch included an address from David Hutchinson, CIHT President 2005, and a number of keynote speeches from leading figures in the Irish Transportation Industry. Existing members and prospective members are invited to become involved in the activities of the region. CIHT Republic of Ireland acts as a forum for promoting professional excellence and engaging in national issues within the Highways & Transportation industry.

CIHT needs you! We are looking for CIHT Members to join the committee. We need new committee members to keep us fresh, focused and relevant to our membership.

Events in Ireland

Conference:

CIHT Republic of Ireland holds an annual conference that acts as a forum for the exchange and dissemination of technical advances as well as exchanges of experiences and ideas among engineers, planners, academics, researchers, developers, regulatory agents and project managers. Previous topics have looked at the challenges which face planning and transport professionals in integrating transport and land use, easing congestion and delivering large infrastructural projects.  Planning for the 2020 conference is currently underway.
