About CIHT

CIHT Qatar

History

The Qatar Group was founded in January 2012 and is the focus of CIHT in the Middle East Region. The Group was formed as a result of the need for CPD events relating to highways and transportation. We sought to bring together professionals from across Qatar to encourage the exchange of current ideas and promote best practices.

The Group is entirely reliant upon support from companies and organisations in order to run its programme of regular technical evening seminars. These events attract a wide spectrum of audiences in the profession, with an average attendance of around 80.

What we do

The Qatar Group seeks to provide support for highways and transportation professionals through:

Technical seminars, presentations and site visits
Provide guidance and support to routes to CIHT’s membership
Mentoring prospective qualified engineers and planners
Knowledge sharing and reporting good/ best practice in the industry
Opportunity to network within the profession
