CIHT has today launched a brand-new member benefit - CIHT Connect.
Join other savvy professionals just like you at CIHT. We are committed to fulfilling your professional development needs throughout your career
Our brand new CIHT Connect is now available for members to access. This on-line forum is an exclusive hub where members can discuss topics, explore ideas, discover best practice, build connections, develop expertise and find solutions to commonly shared challenges.
CIHT is encouraging members to join in and communicate with their peers to discuss the latest trends and topics across a variety of sectors and topics. CIHT Connect has been designed to supplement our existing regional and national groups.
Martin Tugwell, President, CIHT said:
“An active online community will provide a real valuable member service. This is an essential tool to enable our membership to have a new way to discuss, network and share best-practice.”
“By enabling our members to interact digitally at times that suit them, we are able to widen not only access to key information to a larger audience but we can also include more members in discussions and sharing of their ideas.”
“This is an exciting development which we hope will enable members to network and continue to engage on the areas and topics they want. We look forward to extending our discussions with our wider community.”
Access to CIHT Connect can be found by visiting here. All members who we have a valid email address have been granted access to the platform.
The interactive forums on CIHT Connect are linked to the areas of interest that members have on their profiles. For our launch, we have started with forums on road safety, sustainable transport, urban design, climate change and resilience – but more will follow shortly.
At this launch stage, we have assigned members to the forums that are linked to the areas previously chosen as areas of interest in their MyCIHT profile. If members wish to change or add any others, members can do so by editing their areas of interest here in their MyCIHT profile.
All CIHT members have been assigned to the ‘All Member’s Forum’ at this initial stage.
We have created some useful tips, tricks and guides on how to use and get the best out of CIHT Connect. These are all available when members access CIHT Connect. We have also created forums for feedback as we want our members to help us develop CIHT Connect to its full potential.
CIHT Connect allows members to choose the level of interaction and engagement they have with the platform. Via the platform’s settings, their is the ability to edit what notifications are received. On accessing the platform, members can amend their preferences.
CIHT Connect is live and available for our members to start using. Members can now access it here – you will need to log-in using your registered email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, you can use the password reminder feature on the CIHT website here.
CIHT Connect is an interactive forum, so as members start to use it to post comments and have discussions, you will start to receive notifications about the activity on the site.
