In this webinar, you will hear from two recent successful PTK candidates: Lucy King (Principal Transport Planner at PJA) and Emma Case (Senior Consultant at Mott MacDonald). You will also hear from an experienced PTK assessor (Roger Bird - Senior Lecturer at Newcastle University), who will be sharing his top tips on how to satisfactorily demonstrate your evidence.
The webinar is free for all to attend and will be taking place at 12:00-13:00 on Monday 20 November 2023. There will be a series of presentations followed by an opportunity to ask questions.
Lucy King, Principal Transport Planner, PJA
Lucy is a Principal Transport Planner at PJA, with over seven years’ experience. She successfully submitted her Portfolio of Technical Knowledge in August 2022, and is aiming to submit her Portfolio of Evidence next year. Lucy’s work is largely focussed on the development planning sector, predominantly covering the south east of England. She has also undertaken work internationally on projects in the Middle East and Australia. Her experience includes transport modelling; highway design; GIS; project management; and undertaking transport assessments, environmental impact assessments and transport strategies.
Roger Bird, Senior Lecturer, Newcastle University
Roger is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of CIHT with seventeen years' experience in Local Government and Consultancy, before becoming a lecturer at Newcastle University. With a background in traffic and highway engineering work, his interests focus on road safety and sustainable transport systems. He led the Newcastle Transport Planning MSc degree programme for many years, and has been assessing Portfolios of Technical Knowledge for the Transport Planning Professional Qualification for over ten years.
Emma Case, Senior Transport Planner, Mott MacDonald
Emma is a Senior Transport Planner at Mott MacDonald, with eight years' experience in Transport Planning across Local Government and Consultancy. She successfully submitted her Portfolio of Technical Knowledge in January 2023 and then went onto successfully submit her Portfolio of Evidence and gained Chartership as a Transport Planning Professional. With a background in development planning and highway engineering work, her interests focus on Stakeholder Engagement, Policy and Project Management.
