Organised by CIHT Northern Ireland, this presentation from Lorcan Connolly, Director at Research Driven Solutions Ltd., will look at the circular economy quantification in transport infrastructure construction and maintenance.
With the advent of new legislation requiring public bodies to meet environmental targets, transport owners globally are aiming to reduce carbon emissions and transition from a linear to a Circular Economy (CE) approach to construction and maintenance. This event will aim to describe how transport authorities can transition to circular approaches through application of risk-based design with consideration of CE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The aim of the research is to provide a platform for the use of new, innovative, resource efficient construction materials and methodologies.
The talk is aimed at transport infrastructure managers, civil contractors, material suppliers and civil / structural engineering consultants.
