Rowland Potter
Managing Director at Executive Consultancy services Ltd, and CIHT East of England Region EDI lead
Rowland is a Portfolio / Project management professional with 17+ years of experience of developing and delivering complex high value project portfolios (value up to £5bn), stimulating economic growth. He has public and private sector experience up to executive level and is an expert in the development of Delivery Pathways, and a strong advocate of decarbonisation in transport systems.
Rowland has a natural empathy for collaboration and motivation of high performing complex teams
across multiple organisations, for optimum delivery outcome. Through strategy, policy, process, with strong Delivery Pathway, he transposes vision into business as usual. He is a strong advocate of health and wellbeing as a foundation of leadership.
Saida Bello
Director of Equality Diversity and Inclusion at Stepping Up Bristol
Saida Bello is a non-practising Solicitor and Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) for the Stepping Up diversity leadership programme. She has previously worked as Director of EDI and Head of Diversity and Inclusion and EDI lead in the public sector for over five years.
Saida was the Equality Champion in Birmingham City Council’s legal department from 2015 to 2016. She served as a Staff Network chair and contributed to the development of the diversity and inclusion strategy at Bristol City Council from 2017 to 2020. She was seconded to the Office for Students from 2020 to 2021 as an EDI adviser. Subsequently she worked as the Head of Diversity and Inclusion in the Government Actuary’s Department and Director of EDI at the City of London Corporation.
Outside of work, Saida has gained over 11 years’ strategic leadership experience through sitting on several boards. She chaired the EDI steering group on the board of the Changing Futures programme in Bristol and on the Golden Key partnership board for about three years.
Saida was a Non-Executive Director of Ashley Community Housing, a specialist housing association for refugees with offices in Bristol, Birmingham, and Wolverhampton from 2019 to 2022. She was appointed by the Judicial Appointments Commission as a Valuation Tribunal England (VTE) Judicial member in 2017. She was appointed as a Chairwoman of the tribunal in 2020. She sits voluntarily as a VTE Judge at least once a month. Her role as a Chair of the VTE involves making decisions in council tax reduction appeals, council tax banding appeals, business rates and other miscellaneous cases.
Susan Leadbetter
Principal consultant at WSP
Susan Leadbetter is a Principal Consultant within WSP’s Liveable Places team. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion within the built environment and leads WSP’s dedicated Women and Girls' safety team.
