Introducing the CIHT Partner-Supported Technical Paper How AI and data analytics can solve current transport problems
Representatives from our Partner organisations and CIHT Technical Champions have formed three task and finish groups for 2023. Each group will develop and deliver a technical paper that will positively influence the sector and support the changes the sector needs to take to progress and develop.
The group presenting at this event is focussed on:
The first half of this event will be a webinar with presentations from our task and finish group Chair as well as industry experts.
The second half of this event will be a workshop where you can give your feedback to the issues you think are most pertinent to this area.
Whilst technology can greatly enhance how society perceives and uses our transportation network there are also damaging consequences to over relying on technology to solve all our problems. Over ambitious conversations from the technology sector, paired with a lack of long-term strategy, leads to producing technology for technology’s sake which doesn’t solve the current problems we are facing.
This technical paper will identify the immediate problems that the transportation sector is facing and identify how AI and data analytics can solve them. We hope to answer three key questions:
We are particularly keen to invite our members who work for Local Authorities to give their feedback during the workshop element of this event.
We will be looking for your opinions on:
This event is open to all employees from our Partner organisations and CIHT members.
