We will be joined by Tim Caswell from Hourbike for a talk on the electric bike sharing scheme implemented in Derby City. 

Ebikes Derby is the UK’s largest electric bike-share scheme - with 200 ebikes at 30 hubs across the city. The scheme is a project funded through Derby City Council and the University of Derby, and operated by Hourbike Ltd.  The ebikes are top of the range, utilising bike-share technology not yet seen outside of the US.  Customers pay 3p per minute to ride the ebikes (there’s a minimum charge of £1 per rental) after signing up through the Social Bicycles app or via the eBikes Derby website.

FROM THE SOUTH:

• Leave M1, J25
• Follow A52 to Derby then take the A601 following signs for Derby station and Derby city South
• Then onto the A6 before turning onto the B6000, following signs for the railway station at all times

FROM THE NORTH:

• Leave M1 at J28
• Take the A38 into Derby
• Follow the A61 into the city, then take the 5th exit on the A52
• Then onto the A6 before turning onto the B6000, following signs for the railway station at all times
